ESSENCE OF THE NEW CURRICULUM
The new curriculum has brought about significant changes in the education sector. The number of students in the new curriculum has increased grammatically due to the long COVID-19 lockdown. Currently, over 200,000 learners in the country are under the new curriculum.
At the same time, the old curriculum is providing students with basic education which is also relatively good. However, which of these forms of learning is more effective and that’s what we are yet to know.
Both the old and new curriculum have almost the same aims, to provide a structured education experience for students that allows them to learn a given subject effectively.
Despite the similarities, the new curriculum has new things on its timetable for example projects, activities of integration of after topics in a subject, debates to name but a few.
The new curriculum has various intentions and all need to be grasped to attain good generic skills since the new curriculum is competence based. The curriculum aims at making students communication skills better as well as research since diverse information is needed to walk out of the activities of integration with an excellence mark to come up with a high score. In the new curriculum, we adapt to social skills since group cooperation is needed to come up with a presentation in a particular activity. In addition to good attitude, the new curriculum teaches us how to overcome any obstacles through projects since creativity and innovation is vital while the debates improve on public speaking skills and confidence on top of brain storming.
Have you ever felt how you could improve your lifestyle? The new curriculum activities are just the answers since you go to bed tired and happy knowing you have made the most of your day and improved your lifestyle.
Though it’s terrifying and leaves you completely exhausted at the end of the day, it’s worth the try since exhilarating.
